Work as a member of the maintenance team that is responsible for operation of physical plant equipment, monitoring the building and grounds.
Fulltime hours with rotating schedule
Must have High Pressure Boiler Operators License or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
General maintenance experience including electrical, HVAC, plumbing, etc. desired. Experience in hospital highly desired.
Observes various meters and gauges, including pressure and temperature, and takes timely and appropriate action when readings are not within desired limits.
Starts, stops and switches over boilers according to policies/recommended guidelines.
Lubricates boiler compressors, pumps and related parts regularly as indicated by department policies and/or preventative maintenance schedules.
Arkansas High Pressure Boiler License. Current Arkansas drivers license. Two years experience in hospital maintenance or a related field and ability to communicate effectively with all age groups. Ability to read and understand written instructions/communications and basic mathematical skills.
Works mostly indoors. Potential hazards include power tools, mechanical equipment, hazardous materials, possible exposure to high voltage, blood, body fluids or tissue.
Stands and moves about hospital buildings the majority of work time. Must be able to lift 25 pounds from any position. Climbs ladders and works in high places.
