Inspirations is our hospital based Intensive outpatient therapy program. It provides group and individual therapy to Seniors who deal with stresses brought on by aging. The program addresses the emotional and behavioral health of adults over 50through a combination of therapies, education, and wellness program. We assist them in developing living skills that help them cope with problems that may accompany the aging process.

Position Summary :

The Program Therapist Position oversees all of the therapeutic services aspect at our Geriatric Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program. The Therapist ensures the provision of social services to Inspiration's patients and their families. Therapist maintains accurate and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant regulations and standards regarding the provision of social services and of the implementation of discharge planning.

Duties & Responsibilities :

Facilitates Group therapy sessions 3 days a week and documents accordingly by Medicare regulations. Provides individual and family therapy on a monthly basis or as prescribed by the Medical Director. Participates in treatment team planning. Develops patient discharge plan. Represents Inspirations at community meetings as requested by Program Director. Provides an aftercare follow-up for all discharged patients. Works cooperatively with the Program Director in ensuring that all relevant regulations and standards are met, including CMS, Medicare and state licensure requirements.

Education Requirements :

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited Graduate School.

Licensure Requirements :

LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC preferred; must meet scope of service for State of practice. LPC accepted

Preferred Qualifications :

Two to three years of group therapy and clinical experience with adults and older persons, and hospital or nursing home experience preferred.
