Performs various care activities related to services necessary in caring for the personal needs and comfort of geriatric patients.
Complies with all regulatory agencies’ standards in daily work activities (JCAHO, OSHA, FLSA, FMLA, etc).
Complies with all hospital policies and procedures, including, but not limited to, standards of attendance, dress code, mandatory meetings, and required staff meetings/in-services as required.
Accepts responsibility of assignments under the direction of the team leader, carries out assigned duties in an efficient and timely manner, and reports all unusual conditions to the team leader, including vital signs.
High school graduate or equivalent.
Certified Nursing Assistant, one year experience in a Nursing Home setting.
Current certification in CPR (American Heart Association)
Able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and hospital personnel.
Must be able to work weekends and shift work under stressful conditions.
Must be able to lift, support, and transport patients. Requires full range of motion (able to carry and lift items over 25 pounds).
