Allegiance Health Management and North Metro Medical Center Board of Directors announced that Jay Quebedeaux has been named Chief Executive Officer effective February 14, 2011. “I am excited to continue the tradition of excellence and quality healthcare this hospital brings to our community. We will continue to focus on facility improvement and growing services most needed in this community.” says Quebedeaux.
Quebedeaux brings more than 17 years of healthcare experience including nursing and management to North Metro. Having served as a medic and nurse in the Army, he is sensitive to the unique needs of our military community. He was born in Louisiana and lived much of his adult life in Texas. Quebedeaux is married and has two young children. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration at Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Quebedeaux has served in multiple capacities in healthcare leadership from Hospital CEO to Regional Business Devlopment.
Jay Quebedeaux replaces Mike Schimming who has served as the hospital’s CEO for the past year and was the hospitals CFO the year prior. Under Mike’s leadership, the hospital made great strides to a much improved bottom line. Mike has accepted the position of CFO for Allegiance Heath Management, North Metro’s management company.
